The Perfect New Year’s Eve Menu Appetizers

New Year’s is knocking close. Do you have your menu ready for the eve’s party? Of course, the gathering and celebration look a lot different, post-COVID. Things have settled pretty well this year and raising a toast to a year full of abundance, happiness, and all things good matters. Don’t worry if you are not hopping pubs and painting the town red. You could be snug in your home and have a wild time with your dear ones. It is no secret that a good party demands scrumptious food. Have you armed yourself with a delicious menu for the New Year carousel? Don’t bother laboring hard knocking up difficult dishes. A host must celebrate too.

Create some appetizers that are easy to prepare, flavorful, and good for the entire party. You should serve dips, spreads, skewers, small bites, and many more appetizers. The list of appetizers that pair well with the cocktails you serve is lengthy.

1. Garlic-loaded shrimp dip

Season with salt and pepper. Add some chopped ingredients to the mix. Once the protein is done, cool down and chop it up. Serve as a snack or as part of a main course.

In a bowl, combine mozzarella, parmesan, cream cheese, mayonnaise, parsley, a dash of lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Prepare the dish by putting it in a baking dish and baking it until golden and bubbly. Top the dish with a good scoop of shrimp and garlic and serve with a basket of pita chips. Doesn’t sound much of a dish, right? Well, pickled cucumbers are appetizers zinging with flavors. Wondering if there’s a special pickling recipe for the appetizers? Not really! All you need is some white wine vinegar, kosher salt, finely chopped dill, red pepper flakes, little sugar, and fresh lime juice. Whisk all ingredients well and pickle beautiful juicy Persian cucumbers in the liquid mix.

3. Teriyaki meatballs

A classic recipe for delicious homemade meatballs, full of flavor and a delight for everyone, involves your home oven. Mix meatballs in your choice of seasoning, roll them out, and bake them. These homemade meatballs are ready to be served!

Don’t stop yet. Go right ahead and get busy whipping up some great tasting Teriyaki Sauce. Stir in some garlic and brown sugar to sesame oil. Then cook up the sauce until it thickens. Add some Mirin, Soy Sauce, and Sake. Next, mix in some cornstarch slurry to thicken up the delicious sauce. Now pour over your fresh-made Teriyaki Meatballs. Baste them with the Teriyaki Sauce.
